I’ve been ice fishing for the past 15-plus years in southeastern Wisconsin, along with fishing the backwaters of the Mississippi River near La Crosse, WI, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I’ve been competitively ice fishing tournaments last couple of years, putting my knowledge and experience on the Ice to the test. I love to target big panfish and Walleyes thru the ice. I primarily jig or use tip downs for pan fish. Nothing like setting the hook into a slob panfish!! Some of my Favorite ice rods to use are any of the Total Touch series rods. They are super sensitive, great for light bites, and have a great backbone. My two go-to rods are the ICE ADDIX Pro XT 26” Light rod and the FASTSTIX EXTREME DX 24” Light action. Great for pan fish and the occasional game fish who wants to eat your jig!!
