Zach Burgess

My name is Zach Burgess. I grew up in Algoma, WI. When I was a kid my dad took me fishing as much as possible and fell in love with Lake Michigan. When I was 14, I got a job as a first mate on a charter boat. When I turned 20, I bought my own boat and started my own business. Why Knot Charters and Guide Service LLC. After about 8 years of salmon chartering I got into ice guiding. Early in my ice fishing career I contacted HT, a company I had used since I was a kid, and got on board with them. After 10 plus years I still use and love their products! In my guiding career I have been part of 3 state records. Currently, I run only ice fishing trips with 11 sleeper shacks and 4 days shacks on Green Bay for whitefish, perch and walleye. When I was in 8th grade, I was voted most likely to have my own fishing TV show in our class year book. So my passion for fishing has always been strong.
